  21. I was wondering...is it possible to write a program in E that will 
  22. intercept key presses?  Let me explain, that's kind of vague.  What I'd 
  23. like to do is write a program that runs concurrently with my terminal 
  24. program and that "intercepts" any keys pressed on the keypad and send 
  25. whatever I want in its place.  Example: The rest of the keyboard works 
  26. normally. But say I press '0' on the keypad - the program would then 
  27. intercept the '0' and replace it with the word 'directory' which would 
  28. then be picked up by the terminal program.

  30. It sounds like it should be doable, but I'd like to make sure before I 
  31. invest the time in it.  Thanks.
